Masters degree or any equivalent from an accredited institution or University. 



To obtain a Ph.D., doctoral students must complete all prerequisite coursework, pass the qualifying examination in the major area, complete a dissertation based on the approved proposal, and successfully defend the dissertation in an oral presentation.

The program is designed to provide specialization study beyond the master's level. All students are expected to have at least minimal training in the common body of knowledge in the functional areas of business.

USTOM seeks students for its doctoral programs in Management and International Business Studies. Substantial financial support is available for a limited number of highly qualified students.



The PhD program is designed to be completed in a period of three years, with a possible six-month extension by request.


Dissertation is part of the requirements for a PhD.

The dissertation is a formal, stylized document used to argue your thesis. The thesis must be significant, original, and it must extend the state of scientific knowledge.As a general rule, every statement in your dissertation must be common knowledge, supported by citation to technical literature, or else original results proved by the research scholar. Each of those statements must directly relate to the proof of the thesis or else they are not needed.



The PhD programme  offers unique opportunities for scholars to research in business and management globally.

For instance, the programme offers opportunities for research in areas such as International Business, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Supply Chain Management and Business Administration.

Students are required to take at least three doctoral level seminars in relevant research subject.

Students may enroll the PhD program after completing Master's program in relevant subject or directly from undergraduate programs with additional credit program. Admission is based on grade-point average, letters of reference (minimum of two, with at least one from academic references), business and professional experience, a written statement of personal objectives, and compatibility with faculty research activities.

3. Recent passport size photograph.
4. Clear copy of passport or any identity card. 
5. A curriculum vitae (CV) or resume. 
6. A statement of purpose that should answer, Why do you want to pursue a PhD program and What are your career goals after you complete your PhD program.
7. Two Letters of recommendation. 
8. One or two page concentration about your research subject.
